Founder & CEO
Katie’s entrepreneurial spirit was lit at an early age as she watched her father build his own small business, which is still in operation after 40 years. She went on to spend more than a decade helping businesses and organizations in the public and private sectors communicate their brands effectively through marketing and communications. Her strategic thinking and people-driven leadership style have led teams to create award-winning content and serious results that stand the test of time.
In 2020, Katie took those skills to the entrepreneurial world and started The Social Bee Marketing Agency. What started as a focus on West Virginia clients has grown to include dozens of diverse purpose-driven changemakers across the country. Today, she and her team are on a mission to shine a spotlight on more great stories—starting with yours.

Dan has extensive marketing experience, spanning over two decades. Dan began his career at Grafton City Hospital in 2000, where he served as the Director of Risk Management and Maketing until 2005. Following this, Dan joined Steptoe & Johnson PLLC as the Marketing Director where he managed a team of creatives and led the marketing strategy for 15 years. When Dan doesn’t have his COO hat on for The Social Bee, you can find him throwing on the pottery wheel, loving on his dogs, spending time with family, or serving on the Main Street Fairmont board.

Whether she’s behind the camera, crafting heartfelt content, or running The Groove (her coffee trailer known for good drinks and even better vibes), she shows up with intention in everything she does!

Gracie Gonzales holds a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from Bethany College. She has built her career around designing and executing strategic, data-driven marketing initiatives that help organizations grow and connect with their audiences. In addition to her marketing career, Gracie serves as the Head Coach of the WVU Women’s Lacrosse Team, overseeing player development, team strategy, and communications. Her background in both marketing and athletics highlights her strengths as a strategist, leader, and communicator.

Jada Mills is a creative storyteller and Multimedia Account Executive who loves bringing ideas to life. She is a proud graduate of Marshall University, where she combines her multimedia journalism background with a hands-on, people first approach to her work. She takes pride in her Appalachian roots, which shaped her strong work ethic and passion for community. Jada thrives on the energy of on-site events and is always eager to jump into new ideas and opportunities.

Kelsey is a graphic designer from West Virginia who has always loved art and visual communication since they were a kid. She graduated from West Virginia University in 2021 with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Marketing. Kelsey loves that Graphic Design has the ability to change opinions and inform others with the simple use of shapes, colors, and text. They're always trying to expand their design horizons by staying up to date with the latest design trends and technology. Besides designing, they also enjoy going on hikes through West Virginia's outdoors, drawing, and eating more sushi than humanly possible.

Paula Campbell is the Special Projects Manager at The Social Bee, bringing over two decades of invaluable experience from her extensive career in education. With undergraduate degrees in Secondary English and Special Education (K-12), and a master’s degree in Gifted Special Education, Paula seamlessly combines organizational excellence with a passion for nurturing growth and potential.
In her current role, Paula orchestrates professional development trainings, creates detailed inventory and process management systems, and ensures everyone stays informed and connected. Her meticulous attention to detail and natural ability to support those around her make her the ultimate behind-the-scenes hero at The Social Bee.
When she’s not thoughtfully stocking the office with everyone's favorite snacks, Paula loves spending time with family, experimenting with new recipes, and always being on the hunt for her next great pair of shoes.
